Meet the Fabia Wagon

Confidence isn’t just for public speaking. It’s an attitude that steers you through life. And if you weren’t born with it, you can always borrow it from the ŠKODA FABIA. With its sharp, angular lines it’s way too bold to be shy. But its confidence isn’t just locked in its looks. Being a thoroughbred ŠKODA means it comes with thoughtful Simply Clever details that add comfort to confidence.

The FABIA is yet another example of our philosophy of making beautifully designed cars that are as much a joy to drive now as they were back when we started. That’s Simply Clever. That’s ŠKODA.

Award winning excellence

The FABIA Wagon tends to turn heads wherever it goes. Award shows are no exception, where our clever little car picked up Carsales’ Best First Car in 2015, 2016 and 2017. We hope you don’t mind the attention.

Life is beautiful. The new ŠKODA Fabia Wagon’s panoramic glass roof* makes sure you’ll never miss another moment. From here on out, simply sit down, throw your head back and admire the patterns made by flocks of birds or the glittering of the heavens. Because grace and timelessness are qualities they share with the new Fabia Wagon.

*Optional specification stabiliser.

The ŠKODA Fabia Wagon offers plenty of room for passengers and their luggage. The passenger compartment is a little longer and wider than before, and the driver and front passenger also have more headroom. The luggage compartment is the largest in the segment. Even so, the ŠKODA Fabia Wagon’s compact dimensions mean that it has retained its agility in everyday traffic.

Simply clever

Wherever you look, you will find useful storageoptions, including clever compartments and ingenious holders. The net pockets on the sides of the front seats are great for storing small items.

Green tech

When you buy a FABIA Wagon, you’re making a smart choice — for yourself and the environment. Green Tech~, standard across both petrol variants, features “Start Stop” and Brake Energy Recuperation. “Start Stop” automatically switches the engine off when stationary and starts it again when you want to drive off.

Turbo engine

You’ll be surprised by the amount of grunt we’ve packed quietly under the hood. Modern turbocharged engines with direct fuel injection — petrol TSI — save fuel while retaining driving dynamics. And thanks to the turbocharging, there’s plenty of power at low RPM, where the engine is most commonly used.

Safety without compromise

The Fabia has adopted a clear stance on passenger and pedestrian safety. As a result, you will find on-board safety components that are usually the domain of cars in higher segments.

All Fabias are fitted with an enhanced electronic differential lock function XDS+, ensuring safer handling when the car negotiates bends.

The automatic-braking Front Assistant is another on-board guardian angel. It works with you to keep an eye on what is happening in front of the vehicle and can alert you to any impending danger. It is able to apply the brakes itself, thus mitigating the consequences of an accident or even averting one altogether.

The Fabia’s Speedlimiter safety feature is taking its bow in a ŠKODA car. As the name suggests, the Speedlimiter will not let the driver go faster than the set speed.

+Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility of the vehicle.

Front assist with city emergency

A car that senses danger ahead? Now that’s clever.

Front Assist with City Emergency Brake+ uses a radar sensor to monitor the risks in front of you, alert you of any hazards, and will even brake on its own to help avoid a collision.

+Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility of the vehicle.

Rear view camera

Some forward thinking for when you’re going backwards. A rear view camera+, standard across the FABIA range, helps you back out of your driveway with peace of mind and tackle those tricky reverse parks with confidence.

+Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility of the vehicle.

ESC with multi-collision brake

The last thing we want to happen to you immediately after an accident – is another accident. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps you maintain control of the car if it begins skidding, while Multi-collision Brake+ activates the braking system to help minimise any further collision.

+Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility of the vehicle.

Fatigue detection

Our clever engineers have developed a hands-on approach to help identify driver fatigue. Fatigue Detection**+ monitors your movement through the steering wheel. If it senses signs of fatigue, it triggers an audible and visual warning alerting you that you need to stop and rest.

+Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility of the vehicle.

The ŠKODA Fabia is the first ŠKODA to use SmartLink, delivering an elegant connection between car and smartphone. Whether you want to select and listen to music on your smartphone or receive turn-by-turn directions, all of this is mirrored on the central display.

SmartLink installed in the Bolero infotainment system allows compatible smartphones to display and control applications on-screen. This lends a new dimension, for instance, to the use of navigation software or to the enjoyment of personal music. Connecting is quick and easy: simply plug a USB cable into the smartphone and the Bolero system and activate MirrorLink™ mode on the radio for the phone’s SmartLink-certified apps to be mirrored on the infotainment system screen.

Adaptive cruise control

Just when you thought cruise control couldn’t get any smarter. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)+** features a radar sensor on the front grille, allowing it to automatically brake and accelerate to a speed and distance set by you. Oh, did we mention it comes standard?

+Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility of the vehicle.

Pretty Practical

The new emotionally-charged design of the new ŠKODA Fabia Wagon complements its outstanding functionality perfectly. ŠKODA’s small estate impresses with design elements from the VisionC show car, dynamic proportions and modern, crisp design language.

The car’s silhouette appears as if made from one piece. An effect created by a crisp tornado line and the so-called wing linemarking the side of the car as well as the slim pillars, the interplay of light and shade, the gently rearward sloping roof line and the completely new, attractive range of wheels.

The rear of the Fabia Wagon is clean, tidy and boldly contoured. The tail lights in the typical ŠKODA “C shape” have contrasting dark edging and intricate detail in the style of Czech glass-making tradition.

Compact on the outside, the new ŠKODA Fabia Wagon offers lots of space for up to five people and their luggage. The 505 litre boot capacity is the largest in its segment. With the back seats folded down, loading capacity of the Fabia Wagon increases to1,370 litres.
